Initiatives
UNSoc runs two flagship programs, discoverMUN and MUNiS in our vision to help bring Model UN to schools and students that otherwise would never know about MUNs.
These programs are run by our Education Porfolio.
Every year, the UNSW United Nations Society runs a DiscoverMUN Program. High school students from across Sydney and NSW are invited to UNSW to participate in a day of fun Model UN activities, to learn about university life and to appreciate how they can make a positive impact on the world. The event is geared for all skill levels, and students with absolutely no prior experience are warmly welcomed!
discoverMUN
MUN in Schools is our ongoing outreach program where we go to local high schools and teach students about the United Nations, what Model UN is and how it operates, and its importance in training the next generation of diplomats and politicians. We then run MUNs within smaller groups, enabling students to experience and enjoy the diplomacy, the politics and the debates that follow.
